The Student Council is an administrative body of the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev", established by the Law on Higher Education.
The Council consists of 40 students, representatives of all faculties and branches, elected on a quota basis.
The main priorities of the Student Council are:
- Providing assistance to the academic community to increase the quality of education and qualification of students;
- Supporting the scientific, creative, cultural, sports and social activities of students and doctoral students;
- Protection of the general interests of learners.
The main principles of the Student Council are:
- Equality of rights, obligations and responsibilities of all students and doctoral students;
- Publicity of decisions and publicity when discussing and implementing activities;
- Independence from ideologies, religions and political influence;
- Respect for the ethnicity and citizenship of learners.
The activity of the Council covers all interests of learners - living conditions, quality of education, professional realization, science , sports, cultural and social life.
